Environment

Being mindful of your environment and how it influences you is crucial for maintaining mental and emotional well-being. Here are some ways to increase awareness of your environment and its impact:

  • Observe Your Mood: Be mindful of how your environment influences your mood. Notice if you feel happier, calmer, or more anxious in different settings.

  • Identify Triggers: Recognise environmental triggers that may evoke certain emotions or behaviours. This could include specific places, people, or situations that affect you positively or negatively.

  • Set Boundaries: Establish boundaries to protect yourself from environments or situations that drain your energy or negatively impact your mental health.

A Friend in you

A friend comes to you with a problem. How would you help them?

Now apply that same scenario to yourself. Treating yourself as you would a friend involves being kind, patient, and supportive, and recognising that you deserve the same level of care and compassion that you readily give to others.
Taking the time to sit with yourself and listen to the thoughts and messages that arise can be incredibly beneficial. By acknowledging and responding to these thoughts with understanding and compassion, you can start to build a healthier relationship with yourself and your inner dialogue.

Overthinking

Challenge Negative Thoughts: Question the validity of your negative thoughts and challenge irrational beliefs. Ask yourself if there is evidence to support your concerns.

Practice Self-Compassion: Be kind to yourself and practice self-compassion. Acknowledge that it's normal to have worries and thoughts, but also remind yourself that you don't have to let them control you.

Focus on Solutions: Instead of dwelling on problems, focus on finding solutions or taking small steps toward addressing them. This can help shift your mindset from rumination to problem-solving.

"I have found the whole coaching process very helpful and I have enjoyed the coaching relationship I have experienced. I have learned to accept failure is just part of the journey and adapt my values and beliefs accordingly, Instead of a win at all cost mentality."
